In our previous post, we discussed how to apply for your medical marijuana card. Once you successfully obtain your medical marijuana card, there are a few more things to consider before purchasing product and taking it home. We’ve gathered some insights here to help you out!
Find the Right Treatment
Although Colorado has legalized recreational cannabis, there are still dispensaries that specialize in medical cannabis. Standing Akimbo is one of them! The Strain Matters
There are nearly 780 known cannabis strains, which can make picking the right one a daunting task! As mentioned above, there are three main categories of cannabis species, which are further divided into strains. Indica typically has higher CBD and lower THC counts, which makes the indica strains relaxing and great for nighttime use. Sativa contains lower CBD and higher THC counts, which makes it energizing and great for daytime use. A hybrid strain is a combination of the two. A strain that contains around 15% THC is common for maximum benefit to your medical condition, and more THC is not necessarily better. Not everyone is comfortable smoking cannabis, but luckily, there are many other delivery methods: tinctures, dabs, edibles, oils, lotions and vaporizers.
